There will always be books that you pick up and never want to put down. It’s the book that changes your life, the way you think about the things, and makes you want to accomplish something.  The ones you want everyone else to be apart of as well, so they can experience the same feeling.

I’ve been going through a lot of change in my life the last year, and I’ve been putting my heart into reading self-improvement books so I can better manage my priorities and learn about myself. I want to share those books with you so you can have that same encouragement! Below are a list of the ones I’ve piced up recently and I think you too, will get good use out of.

The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz – gives you useful methods on how to live a more fulfilled life in your relationships, job, and family. Believe you can succeed and you will, is the main point of this book and assures you that you don’t need a specific talent to get there.

Every human being wants success. Everybody wants the best this life can deliver. Nobody enjoys crawling, living in mediocrity. No one likes feeling second-class and feeling forced to go that way.

Mastering your Mean Girl by Melissa Ambrosini – this books talks about that inner voice in your head that keeps putting you down, your inner mean girl. You’ll find an inspiring plan to achieve your own kick ass life. She proposes meditation and daily gratitude as ways to love ourselves.

Playing Big by Tara Mohr – if you want to live a bigger and more fulfilling life, this book will bring you courage to do it.  Encouragement to get rid of self-doubts with confidence and self worth.

To us, you are that talented woman who doesn’t see how talented she is. You are the woman who—it’s clear to us—could start an innovative company or pull one out of the dysfunction it’s in, improve the local schools, or write a book that would change thousands of lives. Adventures for your Soul by Shannon Kaiser – This book will give you ways to transform your habits and reach your goals.

You are a Badass by Jen Sincero – Come on, just the title of the book says, you need to read me! This book will help you improve your life by helping you make changes to your life. Get rid of those self sabotaging thoughts with a few curse words in between.

Big magic by Elizabeth Gilbert – Pull inspiration and encouragement through creative outlets by facing your fears.

    Adventures for your Soul sounds fantastic!! Thanks for sharing so many helpful books for the soul and the mind! I thought I would add one to the list that has helped me immensely called “The Worry Free Mind” (http://drscarolandbill.com/). It is so easy to let stress and anxiety ruin your day and I have found as I get older it’s harder to handle. This book is written by psychologists who not only give the biological reasons for stress but also a way to retrain the way you think and conquer these thoughts and feelings. It is an easy, informative read that will leave you feeling motivated and prepared to handle the worst. Sometimes it’s a simple as shifting our focus and attention onto something else. If you are looking for something different to try and a way to permanently change how you handle stressful situations you have to read this book. I would love to know what you think and maybe it will make it to a future list.
